Mary's bugs

so mary hates bugs. i mean they scare her to death. to the point where she will cry SO hard if one lands on her. and she has no mercy for those on the ground...she runs and stomps on them. well, tonight she was reading a "look and find" book and in it was a green grasshopper. we were all gathered around the couch and mary was reading this book. then we see her very timidly and quickly touch the bug with her little pointer finger...as if she were squishing it. then she slowly brought her finger up and turned it around...obviously to see if there was a dead bug on her finger! we were laughing so hard. she didn't know we were watching her so she dared to squish the bug a few more times before she realized it wasn't getting on her fingers. oh how i love her. tonight at dinner-out of the blue- she said "mamma, i la (love) you." oh how i love her!
